Abstract: Technical report on internal migration and rural migration trends, 1957-1981, in Peninsular Malaysia.  Discusses internal migrant characteristics such as gender, educational level and ethnic group, job searching methods, urban unemployment and underemployment, occupational structure, labour mobility and working conditions. Provides comparisons with non-migrants.  Emphasises need for consistent policies, particularly linkage with human settlement, land settlement, urban development and industrial development.
